Does anyone have a recipe for these or something similar? Fathers' Day is coming up and I know one who deserves a lovely chocolate gift.

No but I can't wait to see the replies!

SoupDragon · 21/05/2004 18:47

Brownies would do. Or choc chip cookies maybe?

Soupy - if it's the father I'm thinking of, doesn't he deserve something a bit classier than ex-lax? Cyanide perhaps? Arsenic?

babster · 21/05/2004 18:53

Having read the thread, he sure deserves it. And it must be possible. What fun making them!

Twink · 21/05/2004 18:55

Better than just ex-lax, fill them with finely choppped fresh habenero or scotch bonnet chilli as well, then they'll really burn both ends.

In fact, I'll even volunteer to make them for the b**tard.

SoupDragon · 21/05/2004 19:00

Cyanide and arsenic are simply too quick and not nearly so much fun

Soupy - whatever does the job is fine by me!

babster · 21/05/2004 19:22

There's a short story called Hairball - think it's by Margaret Atwood - about a woman who has had an ovarian cyst removed. She rolls it in cocoa powder and grated chocolate, puts it in a box, ties it with a ribbon and sends it to her husband's mistress. So who's been to the doc's recently then?

(sorry if you're having dinner)

Twink · 21/05/2004 22:23

PS I'm not joking, I've even got a plant full of ripe habeneros ready & waiting for him

WideWebWitch · 22/05/2004 11:44

Well, there's a recipe for truffles here and if you chose to put, say, Senna in them, well...

tigermoth · 22/05/2004 17:51

this thread will run and run....
good idea soupdragon.

SoupDragon · 22/05/2004 18:12

What about Delias Receipe? and just substitue normal chochate with ex-lax. Be careful not to forget and lick the spoon

I've just spent the afternoon making the "non speciality chocolate" version of these whilst DH is playing golf. All I need to do now is to make the DSs decorate the box to put them in and eat the ones that don't fit in myself.

I used to have a recipe for hashish fudge somewhere.

Not that I ever made it myself of course
