Do any of them taste of anything at all? Cos I've tried quite a few fillings and they all taste equally of nothing.

IMO

No..........

BrandyTutter · 21/12/2006 16:42

no, they're all v bland ime

fresh pasta doen't do it for me at all tbh

SherlockLGJ · 21/12/2006 16:43

You can't beat spaghetti...... This is the best, better IMO than fresh and is the one chefs use. ....Freshly made garlic butter and fresh coriander chopped and sprinkled on top.

PinkTinsel · 21/12/2006 16:45

dunnes over here does a lovely garlic and herb tagiatelle.

and theres one called duetto which is lovely, and very filling.

SherlockLGJ · 21/12/2006 16:46

Oh yeah Dunnes over here, that is really helpful, be quiet ya bleedin Mucker.

DeckthehallsLaDiDaDi · 21/12/2006 16:50

I eat them quite a lot and find that the flavour is easily overwhelmed by most sauces. I often eat it with just a bit of parmesan on top.

HarkTheAEROdAngelsSing · 21/12/2006 16:52

Ahh - you mean the filled pasta? Not fussed on it tbh - I have a mushroom one lying in my freezer and I know I don't like it much, but can't bring myself to chuck it for some reason....

Tonight, however (and this should be on the dinner thread), I'm looking forward to fresh tagliatelli (sp?), with home made white wine and fresh cream sauce with chicken, bacon and mushrooms - mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Not the healthiest, I know but mmmmmmmmm all the same.

PinkTinsel · 21/12/2006 16:54

couldn't resist pointing out the superiority of an irish shop... would have thought you'dhave been proud of me lgj

purplemonkeydasheranddancer · 21/12/2006 16:56

there was one brand that we got at morrisons a couple of times that was really nice. but haven't seen it since then...
wow. that was no help at all was it?!!

SpicymulledSheraz · 21/12/2006 16:58

Find it bland and pasta not good. I stick to good quality dried pastas.

SherlockLGJ · 21/12/2006 16:59

I am PT.

I am.

Are you ready for Christmas ??

PinkTinsel · 21/12/2006 17:10

got the christmas shop in today (i'm still quivering in at the price) so we officially don't have to hit the shops again til january!

SherlockLGJ · 21/12/2006 17:12

My DH has just gone to do mine. God I love that man.

PinkTinsel · 21/12/2006 17:14

lord knows what dp would come back with if i sent him doesn't bare thinking about really! he's the official dd minder/heavy bag lifter/driver of car

SherlockLGJ · 21/12/2006 17:15

Happily he is really good at shopping, so we take the weekly shop in turns.

aDadOnADustyRoad · 21/12/2006 17:15

there can be only one for me

sainsbo's taste the difference pumpkin and amaretti biscuit ravioli.

Having it tonight too!

PinkTinsel · 21/12/2006 17:17

dp would turn up with 20 packets of rashers, half the crisps aisle and no food! (thats actually a fact, tried it pre kids!)

BrandyTutter · 21/12/2006 17:22

but dustydad, don't you find there's no way a pack will serve 2 adults?

dh likes them but used to demolish a pack on his own. so i stopped buying them

aDadOnADustyRoad · 21/12/2006 17:32

BT - Well, if I'm in on my own, I have eaten a pack before.

If there are two of us in, sharing between two seems fine as well!

agree that most are shite though.

JollyOldSaintNikkielas · 21/12/2006 20:36

My dd1 likes them. She has 1/2 a pck so don't think a pack wopuld feed 2 adults (unless it was with a big piece of meat etc)
