Hi

We have friends coming to lunch on 23rd Dec, they will have had a fair old drive and so I wanted to do something nice and tasty.

Any ideas? I saw a thread further down with suggestions of sausages, nice breads and onions which sounds nice but I'm not a very confident host and not sure how to lay it out? Fahijtas were what we made for them last time so that's out and cold meats/hummous etc is too cold - it's freezing up here where we are.

Thanks

Lucy

If I'm doing that sort of thing I just put plates of food on the table, with a vread board and good bread, butter, cheese, and chutneys- very home;y but that's what is so good about it! Sausages etc go well with that country meal vibe, as long as its good thick ones obviously

Lovely bread, a thick veggie soup, good cheese, grapes, crackers etc.

And sticky pudding and custard for pud - you need it to keep you warm!

Hmm it all sounds lovely,

Does anyone have any recipes for sticky toffee pudding or recommendations on where to buy a really nice one? I like Gu's and thorntons but like to get advice too!

Thanks

Lucy
