I usually do stews for abiout 2-21/2 hrs and I haven't even prep the veg yet

ARGGGHHHH - MN's fault again!

Hmmmm, could be pushing it if you want to eat for 7.
Stew meat needs about 3 hrs IMO, to get it tender.

mmm sounds like a cunning plan to get takeaway!

well done you!

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 15/12/2006 17:33

Oh definitely a takeaway - you want to see your guests, not spend all night cooking.

iPodForLifeNotJustForChristmas · 15/12/2006 17:55

oh, they not guests - I live with them!!! and whilst I've been out of work i've been saving them from ready meal or sandwhiches for tea hell!!!

God help us when I'm working 3 days a week!

I'd kindly suggest to them that maybe they would like to cook now and again.

iPodForLifeNotJustForChristmas · 16/12/2006 16:43

hmm the thought has occurred - they've been away for 3weeks working and I was just getting used to being my own boss!!!

Nearly strangled my dad last night when after sitting for 3 hours he yawnd really pointedly and said "any chance of a cuppa love?" ARggghhh, lazy, lazy, lazy!!
M ight arrange IV tea for him for christmas!

Ho hum - cant moan too much not many parents take you in again at 27, with a baby and dont charge rent - AND then give you an additional credit card on their account for "household shopping" - weekly copy of heat and dairy milk anyone!!!
