My daughter will be 4 soon and has asked for a Princess cake (I like to make her cakes for her birthday) so was wondering if anyone knows any good websites/ideas of an easy way to do this.

Could you make a fairy castle? My dd will be 3 next month and I am going to make her one. Just a large square with swiss rolls on the corners then ice cream cones on top of that to make turrets and cover it all in pink icing. Add decorations and bits and pieces to finish it off. I'm hoping it'll look amazing but will be dead easy...

Or you could get a cheapy princess doll - you know the type that are barbie size then make a cake in a pudding basin, tip it upside down, stick the doll into the middle of the cake (or remove legs) and ice the skirt as a big ball gown, maybe adding decoration such as silver balls etc.

Lots of colourful fairy cakes with silver and gold balls or sugar flowers. Then arrange in the shape of a crown/tiara.

That way she could help with choosing the colours for the icing and what goes on it etc.
