you've inspired me to get off my bum and the puter and stop DS2 watching telly and we made these - absolutely yummy

Thank you!

Queenmummy · 06/12/2006 13:18

Pruni - these are the best - I agree. They were one of the first things I ever made from that book and I have made them many many times since. I had a big "Nigella" recipe discovery a couple of weeks ago - I made the honey semifreddo from Forever Summer and it is one of the nicest things I have ever made. Have you tried it? If not, you MUST!

WasWondering - I'm not sure that would work - they're not really that kind of biscuit. You'd be better off with Nigella's "butter cut-out" biscuits if that's what you want to do

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 06/12/2006 13:27

they do keep their shape.

Thanks pruni, I made this morning with the dts and they really are scrummy.

Kelly1978GotRunOverByAReindeer · 06/12/2006 13:28

This is a truly bad bad recipe - 250g butter ....and yes I made some this morning, they are delicious and me and ds are munching our way through them as I type (although they are more melt-in-th-mouth ones)...my tastebuds thank you but my waist does not .

kitbit · 19/12/2006 21:49

I must be the crappest cook ever, I tried this recipe last night and they came out like small hard frisbees. The mixture just seemed all wrong and they were too wet and sticky to roll but too stiff to put on the baking sheet as balls or blobs and melt into bicky shapes in the oven. Then they went hard. boooooo hoo hoooooooo

at everyone eating perfect chocky bickies

Heathcliffscathy · 19/12/2006 21:53

ooo. my favourite.

can i make a little suggestion.
