Kids Leftovers are my downfall

I love them

tonights menu: warm steamed new potatoes dipped in cold chicken gravy
followed by
the burnt bits cut off the side of a sponge cake
and
half a yogurt

get a dog (as you seem to be thinking anyway!)

Then give leftover to it

(also very good for kids dropping food on floor, you don't have to pick it up, ours is known as teh hairy hoover)

I afraid you may have to step down from the culinary experts pedastal that I've had you on for so long

I read this in a children's magazine and have found it helpful .... mantra: "I do not need to eat my children's leftovers. I do not need to eat me children's leftovers. etc."!

Ooops, that second "me" should definitely be "my" - I suspect my grammar may have been pulled apart on another thread (don't even know!) but at least I know that much

yes I have feet of clay

cd we HAVE a dog (on loan)

she comes in at the end to clean up under the baby

they had roast chicken, roast and boiled potatoes, carrots, peas and gravy

then sponge cake and a yogurt

all much more normal

If you really really want to stop eating the leftovers, keep a bottle of washing-up liquid close at hand and squirt the remains as soon as dc have finished eating.

How can you eat cold food? I hate it. Now, the sides of the cake I can understand!
