yeah, i noticed the d&d cocoa as well. wot's wrong with bourneville, nige?
(but i actually thought the salmon looked good, even if N appeared to be on happy drugs while making it.)
when i lived in Oz i used to like saying i was from 'abroad'... too many people thought it was a country. i have a friend from Lithuania and i like to warn people not to listen to her 'as she's from abroad'. we POSL.

what are spa lights? are they useless and expensive? i want them.

expatinscotland · 07/12/2006 00:18

Oh, aitch, spa lights are bliss!

£5.99 for these little round lights w/suckers attached. They run on batteries. And underwater!

You can float them in your bath, or stick them to the tub under the water, or sucker them to the wall.

All the ambiance of candles, w/o having to worry about getting them wet.

I want, I want, I want!

All my friends do, too. I was hoping to swoop in and make off w/loads to give out as gifts.

So I'll be there next week, instead!

expatinscotland · 07/12/2006 00:20

She was using Schwartz spices. I could tell by the lid on the jar.

But cardamom pods?

I honestly can't be arsed!

Just go the farmer's market on Sat. and pick up some Perthshire honey. Chuck it on the ham.

There, it's local and all that.

whensantagotstuckupAITCHimney · 07/12/2006 00:20

lordy, i do not want my bits and bobs illuminated from below. most unflattering...

expatinscotland · 07/12/2006 00:20

£5.99 for two, that is.

Good gift for the nursery teachers, too.

Oh, and the tealight 'candles' that run on watch batteries and flicker like a real flame.

But you can fall asleep w/these ones on!

expatinscotland · 07/12/2006 00:22

But you're in a BATH, aitch, and they're not very bright.

The employee said they were struggling to keep them in stock, they are so popular.

I can see why!

Reading my book, sipping my wine, low light . . .

It'd be just like Nigella, except she's got loads of the £30/ea. Dipthyque candles going.

whensantagotstuckupAITCHimney · 07/12/2006 00:22

do you know, i have banned schwartz spices from my life for political reasons for so long now that i can't remember why. could it have been something to do with apartheid? perhaps i should review my boycott in the light of political changes in SA?

whensantagotstuckupAITCHimney · 07/12/2006 00:23

actually i'm so short-sighted that i don't actually see my bits or my bobs very often... a blessing.

expatinscotland · 07/12/2006 00:25

Sainsbury's own brand are better!

I'm gunning for those spa lights. I have some pals whom I need to make happy this Xmas.

Just in time for the works do, too, w/the gift exchange.
