How long can fresh soup be kept?

I have just made a large batch of autumn veg soup, and wondered how long it would keep in the fridge in individual portions for reheating this week?

If I decide to freeze it in portions how long can it be kept frozen and is it best to defrost it in the fridge overnight before reheating it, or can it be heated from frozen (a friend reheats hers from frozen on the hob??)

Thanks ladies.

I reheat mine from frozen - but all my soups are veg only, no meat.

a) 3 days
b)3 months
c) it is best but you can do it in the pan with a lid on and over a very low heat and put a splash of boiling water in the bottom of the pan to stop it scorching
