I really want to cut down on our meat eating habits! lol. we have meat and potatoes every night or at least 4 out of 7 nights min.

Cod - you know as well as I do that Im a bloater.

Lasagne & jacket pots - we have a small portion of lasagne and a good size potatoe - always had it that way!

So for a house that doesnt eat fiash and is not keen on rice, we stick to pasta and pots!

The week looks like this chez NDP

Mon - King prawn & chilli stirfry
Tue - Don't know, prob nothing as DH is out with work and the DSs are with their birth mum (DD will be having salmon fillet)
Wed - Battered cod, baked beans and a potato variant (as yet undecided)
Thurs - Chicken and veg in black bean sauce with rice
Fri - Chicken and sausage casserole, mash and green beans

Weds are always a quick freezer type meal as I cannot be bummed to cook anything long winded after a long day at college and running around like a blue arsed fly to collect the kids from different places afterwards.

AlgernonGetYerTubaOut · 04/12/2006 12:05

sorry - lasagne

munz · 04/12/2006 12:10

can you do chilli ahem not spicey? cos obv me and J won't have it spicey - I can't stand anything too hot, don't mind a mild curry but that's it. but DH loves it the hotter the better, so could add chillis after taking ours out.

not really as chilli is a key flavour in the stir fry. Although, obviously you could just do a basic prawn and veg stir fry for you and the boy.

EniDeepMidwinter · 04/12/2006 14:04

trying to have a VERY cheap shopping week so probably heavily reliant on pasta this week

tonight: penne carbonara
then pasta with broccoli chili and anchovies and also pasta with something else
chicken stir fry with broccoli veg and rice plus a jar of wagamamas stir fry sauce (to use up as I am sick of it cluttering up the cupboard)
I fancy a pie and veg as well sometime this week

WHEELYbahhumBUG · 04/12/2006 18:32

shoppingbags - yes ordinary sausages with red wine and rosemary - its lovely - here risotto recipe

deaconblue · 04/12/2006 19:00
