Basic biscuit recipe please...

...for using with Christmas cutters and icing when cooked!

ooh, I've just made some with dd! We used this recipe:

200g plain flour
100g butter
75g caster sugar
1 egg

rub flour and sugar into the butter, add beaten egg. Roll out and cut out shapes. Bake at gm 6 (200 C or 400 F) for 10 to 15 mind. Icing was 100g icing sugar with about 2 tbsp water.

Not tasted them yet though!
