AM I THE ONLY ONE HAVING PROBLEMS BOOK A XMAS SHOP ONLINE WITH ASDA

Went online to book 3 weeks ahead for a xmas shop online with Asda.

As mentioned above, apparently they can't deliver on the 20th December to my area, when they can deliver to the area at other times on the week.

Also noticed that Tesco have hiked their prices up for the xmas week, will check back tomorrow with Tesco.

Don't normally shop with Sainsburys and haven't got any codes for shopping online with them.

Anyone else having problems with Asda.

I have tried to book delivery slots for both places. I can only get up to the 20th as well. I'm sure that last year Tesco got their delivery dates out sooner.
I use them now and again, i just think its too much hassle to go and change the order.
I am going to try later.

Your post prompted me to see if I could book my Christmas delivery slot with Asda.

There are only two slots available after 16th Dec, they are both on the morning of 21st. I go to class on Tues mornings so no good to me.

Asda are absolute rubbish with their delivery slots, I've complained and complained about them in the past, receiving very unhelpful replies too.

Have just went back and checked. apparently they are not delivering to my area on the 20th either, and nothing is yet availiable for the 21st or 22nd. Which makes me wonder if the last date for deliveries from them is going to be 19th!

I have just phoned them - my god they are stupid.
I said to the woman
" can you tell me when the last date for deliveries is before Christmas"
her reply
"You will be able to get a delivery slot for every day in the run up to christmas , last day is the 22nd".
I then asked her why, on the delivery slots there was a big red cross, on the 20th,saying we do not deliver to your area on the days marked with a cross, and did this mean that they would also not deliver on the 21st and 22nd.
her reply was as follows
" You can't book a delivery slot for the 21st and 22nd, as it's not yet three weeks till those dates, and you won't can book a delivery slot for the 20th as its not three weeks to the 20th, and it's a first come first served service we offer".
I pointed out that i was well aware of the fact that i couldn't get a delivery slot any further than three weeks in advance, but that i was merely qurying if they would deliver on those dates.
Apparently there's nothing she can do, as she is just customer services and doesn't know how the delivery service operates. If anyone else has better luck let me know

Don't wish to sound smug but I've just booked my Sainsbury delivery for 21st - the last day before christmas when they don't charge. There seems to be plenty of delivery slots available still.

I've never managed to get Asda to deliver to me even though we've got 2 big stores within 10 miles of here.

Managed to get my slot for 21st, they seem to have updated the 20th and 21st sites for asda now.

Well ,miraculously the 20th and 21st are now availiable for deliveries!.
I cannot get over the fact that Tesco have put their delivery charges up for Christmas week, instead of the usual £3.99 for weekdays, it's £5.99!

I booked a slot for Tesco, but changed it for the week before so I don't get charged any more than £3.99 for delivery.

Ordered my shop with Asda for the 21st. Also had a nice lady from Asda online telephone me because I queried with Asda why I couldn't book a slot originally. Quite impressed with Asda online customer support.

I've just booked for the 22nd with Asda.

Does anyone want a free delivery e voucher code for asda.
