Making Brownies and need help!

I am attempting Suzywongs world famous brownies and have hit a stumbling block. I haven't any drinking chocolate (or cocoa powder).
Can I use Chocolate Horlicks powder, or will it go horribly wrong?

Help!

EEK! Not sure how that would taste tbh. Can you use some melted chocolate instead?

It will go horribly wrong!

Cocoa powder is the best, failing that drinking chocolate. Failing that.... add lemon zest and make lemon cakes!

I couldn't get cocoa the first time I made this recipe so just bunged in a little extra chocolate. The result was fine.

It wouldn't be horrible, it would result in malted flavour brownies. I've made stuff with horlicks before for a malty taste (makes fab butter cream)

In the end I just omitted the drinking chocolate part and they turned out fine (well better than fine) and people were almost orgasming whilst eating them.

Making some more tonight
