Just preparing some fruit and veg to go in freezer ready for when I begin to wean dd - can anyone tell me how long it keeps for? I thought it was 3 months but can't remember if thats definately correct.

Thank you!!

Not at all sunny round here, grrr!

On the inside of my freezer there's a picture of a strawberry with '12' underneath it (ie months), but 3 months sounds about right to me.

How very organised!

If it's a proper freezer, ie not a compartment at the top of your fridge, fruit and veg should be fine for 12 months so long as the bag is sealed, meat and fish should be treaeted with more caution though, that's where you've got your 3 months from. Aren't you organised Well done!

Been to see h/v today for weaning chat. Shes given me some literature which has now got me confused.

It says that veg puree can be kept for 2 months. So can fruit puree. But vegetables ( which is surely veg puree, only not pureed ?) can be kept for 3 mths.

I don't get it. Inside my frezer door it says fruit for 10 - 12 mths. Can anyone explain pls???

TIA
