how much does your 4 or 5 year old eat?

DS1 eats so little. Part of the problem is getting him to sit still for more than a minute. But increasingly, he is sitting better but he still eats so little.

As an example.
Today he had 1 weetabix for breakfast - which is more than he usually eats.
In his packed lunch, he ate 2 quarters of a ham sandwich, a yoghurt and a handful of blueberries
A few mouthfuls of spaghetti bolagnese (which he really enjoyed - which is unusual as he rarely expresses a positive opinion abotu food these days).
he didn't eat his fruit at school (oranges)

He normally eats more fruit in a day than this but quantity wise, this is quite a good day.

I am very chilled out about it normally but it is more than a passing phase. he likes most things but just doesn't eat them!

Any comments/ideas appreciated

dd (5) often picks at food. She has :-
2 small bowls of Shreddies for breakfast,
biscuit or fruit and water at break,
school lunch - today sweet and sour chicken and noodles plus banana - which I'm told she eats well or if at home half a bread roll with ham or salmon , 3 or 4 cherry tomatoes and a few slices of cucumber,
dinner - tonight sausage mash and broccoli, of which she ate a tablespoon of mash and 2 or 3 chunks of sausage -and yoghurt.
She's petite too , wonder why !
