DH's Dumplings advice (he is dictating )
Get some Atora dumpling mix and use double the amount of self-raising flour to the amount of suet (Atora) that you use
Mix together into a firm dough using 5 tablespoons of WARM water and a pinch of salt. (You may need a bit more water; you need the dough to be pliable.. v.important to use WARM water)
Divide the dough in pieces.. if you have used 40.z flour/2oz suet, this will make about 8 dumplings
Put them on top of your stew which should be simmering in the pot, cover and cook for half an hour. There needs to be plenty of liquid for them to cook in.
[If this doesn't work, blame DH.. I DON'T cook! ] (His dumplings are very nice though!)
