I have a recipe (broccoli fish bake) that requires condensed broccoli soup. Unsurprisingly, our supermarket doesn't stock it - so what can I sub happily that won't make it taste ghastly - would cream of celery or cream of mushroom be a better bet?

Buy a packet of white sauce, food processor up already chopped small heads of broccoli and food processor the mixture together and then heat in the microwave, there you go broccoli sauce instead of the mentioned soup

combine tender cuts of broccoli and real cream with onions to make a broccoli soup
