I was just wondering what other mums give this dd/ds. My dd is 16 months, and I would like to try her with other meals.

Trying to be the world's best mum, yesterday I made a chicken casserole with borlotti beans and tomatoes with mashed potatoes. Both DD(nearly 4) and DS ( 16 months) hardly ate it. Both enjoyed french toast and cheese. Makes me wonder sometimes why I bother! Find DS enjoys homemade fish fingers & chicken nuggets (or goujons I prefer to call them!! - I batch make them and freeze them - chicken I cook first, fish I freeze raw), also homemade pureed vegetable soups, smoked salmon!!!!/tinned sardines on toast/rice cakes, any freshly cooked fish with homemade oven chips (blanched chipped potatoes & olive oil mixed together and cooked in oven for about 30 minutes). Cous cous is a quick alternative to rice or potatoes when time is short to go with any sauce based savoury meal e.g. curry.
Would appreciate any suggestions for quick puddings with fruit in. He seems to be off fresh fruit at the moment.

I make ds twins (aged 2) smaller portions of what we eat now, have done for some time. I just make sure theirs in the portions without salt.

Since becoming a SAHM I have found it easier to make everything myself, cost effective and actually quite satisfying when you get an empty plate back. Their favourite is a tie between my pasta and tomato sauce or cottage pie.

Apparently most kids like pesto, certainly true of my DS (2) - great for quick pasta with some veg/ham/cheese. Philadelphia stirred into pasta also quite good. Sweet potato mash, egg fried rice with red peppers, peas, onion. Also chicken casserole, shepherds pie, fish pie, omlette. In an emergency a tin of alphabet spaghetti on toast isn't too bad! He won't touch fish fingers or ketchup.
