How many different meals does your child (preschooler) eat?

I was just wondering. I have a VERY picky child, and it is getting me down. He is 4 1/2, and I was hoping it would be getting better by now, but it is actually getting worse. Meals he used to eat, now he doesn't like anymore. I try not to make a big deal out if, and I never force him to eat food (I would like him to have a good relationship with food), but I don't think pasta and pesto dip is nutritionally sufficient to help a preschooler to develop!

my ds1 who is 7 is the same, he used to eat everything but he now lives on sausages, fish fingers, sausgsage rolls, pizza, beefburgers and potatoes in most form. He physically gags when you give him 'proper' meat in any form, we do keep trying different dishes with him, he has only just started eating pizza!! But i do agree, it does get me down, if we go to a restaurant we have to check what they serve first just to check that there is something that he will eat.
