An interesting way to make sandwiches for toddlers.

I visited my sister the other day with dts, and for lunch she made sandwiches in a different way,
She cut the crusts off the bread, rolled out the bread with a rolling pin, put the filling on, and then rolled it so it looked like a wrap, the dts loved them, just thought I would pass on the idea, though I expect its not that unusual, as I am often the last to learn these things

sounds like a really good idea - esp if you lket them do the rolling and spreading and wrapping themselves - mine eat so much better if they think they have cooked it - when usually allt hey have done is lick out the bowl!

DS1 loves sandwiches. I am going to follow you round today contradicting you, Cod

In fact, his "treat" is to go to M Food (Marks & Spencer to the rest of us) and get a sandwich (samdge) from there. The first time he had one he held it to his forehead and said "ahhh!".

DD loves sandwiches too .. and her treat is the tesco express .. so I'm obviously common compared to hunkery

Very interested in the methods you talk about. My lo will not eat a sandwich, will eat something like cheese on toast on a regular basis at lunchtime, but refuses a sandwich.

Will try the rolling pin method, also any other tips on what kind of fillings I can put in, what do toddlers normally like in their sandwiches ??

Poppy ds likes philadelphia style cheese, hummus, egg mayo, or peanut butter (especially with jam)

He is not very impressed by sandwiches, either, and is a fab eater otherwise, so I think it must be a fairly common dislike.
