She did indeed.. she has lost a few teeth and slobbers.

I think she gets tinned meat from a neighbour though (hardly ever eats at home) prefeering to dine out.. Some cheeky bugger even put a bell on her.

I might put a label in the contact bit that says "I am a scientologist, do you still love me?"

TomKat's wedding, surely?

Our cat eats special diet food for kidney failed beasts from vet - arm and leg job.

At least 96% ash, I reckon, looking at how itlooks and smells

It doesn't matter what shite I feed the dog she looks at it sniffs it for days and when she's given up and realised she's not actually going to get lasagna for supper she eventually eats it ffs!!

Have tried expensive yummy stuff and no difference.ALL tinned stuff makes her poos disgusting.

iota · 17/11/2006 16:34

I knew a DOG who used to eat shit - cowpats to be precise

cats generally have more sense

Dog gets those "chub" dog food things. We call it snottage
Mind you, she will also eat curry, kebabs etc so she's not THAT fussy

WriggleJiggle · 17/11/2006 16:52

MIL's best quote "They wouldn't eat that food you left (tins of dog food), so I cooked them a chicken"

MIL is still suprised that they refuse to eat dog food when they go to her house, but eat it happily when at home.

pointydog · 17/11/2006 17:20

handlemecarefully · 17/11/2006 17:23

You may scoff, but I occasionally buy Dog magazine (only for tips on training etc) and there is a regular columnist in there who does home cooked recipes for dogs!!!!!

iota · 17/11/2006 17:24

DOG magazine hmc ! ROFL

WriggleJiggle · 17/11/2006 17:26

I do home cooked recipes for dogs .... its whatever we are eating, unless its too yummy and we scoff the lot.

DumbledoresGirl · 17/11/2006 17:27

Mine cats get the cheapest, crappiest food I can find.

But then every so often I relent and give them fish or liver cooked fresh. Today is one such day and one cat has just come in and smelt the bacon so to speak (well the liver) so off to feed him....

pointydog · 17/11/2006 17:28

My old paws can't tap on as quickly as they used to. And my slavers are clogging up the keyboard here

iota · 17/11/2006 17:30

my mother used to cook melts (spleen apparently) and liver or heart for teh dog - the cat used to get boiled coley

those were the days my friend

WriggleJiggle · 17/11/2006 17:32

Ours get cheap stuff too. £5.99 for 15kg of dog food. Can't find any cheap food shops since moving south though, will have to stock up next weekend when I go back up north.

CountessDracula · 17/11/2006 17:32

I cook vegetables for my dog and give her meat or cheapo tinned tuna or pink salmon

JoolsToo · 17/11/2006 17:40

I thought my cat was dying the other day - he threw up milky green bile all over the floor - milky green bile with little white lumps in. I was on the verge of calling vet while dh was clearing up sick. then he said:''did you leave the rest of the thai chicken curry out on the side......'' Ah.

fullmoonfiend · 17/11/2006 17:54

But twas home-made thai green curry - wuth organic chicken, natch
