....and the recipe says I need a jelly bag (presumably to make it clear rather than a regular jam). Is there anything else I can use instead as I don't have one!

Thanks in advance....

Old pillowcase or other cotton bag works fine (but it will stain so don't expect to use it as naything but a jelly bag in future).

Any muslin cloths left over from lo's? They work too.

A cleaning cloth will work too as long as it is a fabric one.

Thank you all! No muslins left - all far too manky and gone to DH to clean motorbikes with! I've looked on google and found that you can boil a tea-towel for 2 to 3 mins and use that. I like the idea of the pillowcase though - the shape is right.

Thank you all and wish me luck!

i made crab apple jelly for the first time last week - really good fun and very satisfying. Jelly bags are esy to find if you are going to do it alot and only two pounds. I hope your quince jelly works well - I love quince.
