pasta dishes - any ideas please

i only ever do pasta in spag bol or lasagne. does anyone have any nice pasta recipes or sauces they would like to recommend. Many thanks

We sometimes have:

• Spaghetti Carbonara (Bacon, egg creamy sauce)

• Onions & chunks of courgette, fried in garlic butter on short pasta - fusilli etc

• Mushrooms & onion & chicken in cream

• Shrimp & chili cooked in butter & lemon juice on linguine

Tin of tomats
squirt of tomat puree
1 onion chopped
italian herb seasoning

bacon chopped
garlic
half tub light sof chees
1 pork stock cube
generous splash of worscester sauce
chilies if required

I didn't have bacon or a pork stock cube so just used a chicken stock cube and added some chopped pepper, brocolli and peas. Twas yummy.

Fry 1 onion chopped up, add jar of sun dried tomato puree and stir in some presunto and a dash of balsamic. Takes 4 mins. yummy!! Crusty bread and a green salad....

Or cook pasta, stir in creme fraiche and some bits of smoked salmon, bit of something green like sugar snaps, brocolli, asparagus, peas. Dash of white wine if you´re feeling adventurous and the bottle is already open....

Pasta carbonara. Very quick.

Saute some bacon pieces and shallots/onions and garlic till basically cooked. Add cream (I use one small pot for 2), stir in some strong italian cheese until melted. If cooking for kids, on lowest heat you have stir in two beaten eggs for one minute. Mix with pasta and then serve.

Bacon and Pesto Fusili

Cut bacon into thin strips.
Fry until a bit crispyish.
Add quite a bit of pesto and some cherry tomatoes cut in half.
Heat through.
Mix with cooked fusili (or other) pasta.
Serve and top with grated cheeses.

One red pepper, one yellow pepper, sliced thinly
Fry slowly in plenty of olive oil till tender, add chopped garlic (amount to suit you) and cook through gently. Season generously with salt and black pepper

Cook enough penne for 4

When pasta is cooked, stir in peppers with all their oil and add a generous handful of chopped fresh coriander.

Served with grated parmesan. Lovely!

I've just started doing roast veggies - peppers, onions, courgettes and mushrooms with garlic and lots of mixed herbs. Roast with olive 0il at 200C for about 20 mins. Mix in half carton of passata, some cooked pasta and a few spoons of fromage frais and pop back in oven for another 10 mins or so - yumy
