We're planning on having a big barbq in a couple of weeks to celebrate the fact that we now have a garden and not a jungle..

We've never had a barbq before as the garden in the old house was to small.

So apart from the obvious of burgars n sausages what do you serve on you barbq's????

Cous Cous - makes a change to pasta.
Roast baby new pots - ala Jamie Oliver with sea salt and rosemary.
Venison Burgers - can get from M&S.
Sardines - either in or out of foil.
Yummy minted lamb - my super fave.

A boned leg of lamb with Garlic and rosemary laid flat on the BBQ is tops!
I also boil some new potatoes mix with varied veg wrap it in 4 layers of foil with a splash of white wine and butter and heat through.

Kebabs, made form courgettes, red onions, aubergine, toms etc, maybe including Halloumi Cheese marinated in Lime juice (v v delicious).

Chicken kebabs marinaded in peanut butter, soy, oil, vinegar and honey

Whole mackerel (get a cage thing from Woolies to stop it falling apart)

roasted red peppers with feta/goats cheese inside (halve the peppers and take out seeds , place on bbq face down, so skin is facing up, after 5 mins take off, put some feta or goats cheese inside, maybe some olives, drizzle with olive oil and a dash of herbs and put back on bbq with skin side down tis time. after 5 mins take off and enjoy)
