How long can you keep food in freezer ?

I have`some ready meals (made by me) eg; bolangnase, fish pie that I made in Sept for thedays after dd's birth (she was 9 days late) My question is should we be eating these up have no been in my freezer ( not a deep freeze ) for 2 or 3 months, do n't want to waste them. Also would like to freeze some seasonal fruit for weaning dd in the spring what do others think ? Thanks
