Right, I have some diced beef... n thats about it.

Going to go to the shops in a minute.

I always seem to cook the same things (lasagne, spaghetti etc), and fancy a change.

I do lots of stew so want to avoid that.

Feeling rough (cold), and have 2 children that will be eating it too, so curry is out.

Come on, give me your best . Preferably fairly cheap!

cornish pasties
cut it into 1 cm dice
saute with some onions and carrots or swedes and potatoes cut to the same size, add salt and pepper and little beef stock

roll out some ready made shortcrust pastry circles, eggwash the edges, fill, fold over, slit the tops three times and brush with egg, back at 200 degrees for 20 minutes
freeze what you don't eat

SHAME on you!

you'll be telling me you've never eaten at Rick Stein's in Padstow next

DD has gone off curry lately, and where she is off colour too I don't want to risk giving her something that she then won't eat iyswim.

Plan to start her back on curries next week ... and on that note - I normally use jars, so curry recipes would be good too
