pork mince may be a little dry for that kind of dish

what about meatballs instead?

throckenholt · 08/11/2006 14:56

yep - just add whatever you want veggie wise, add a bit of gravy and put mashed potatoe on top.

throckenholt · 08/11/2006 14:56

potato

Macdog · 08/11/2006 14:56

I brown mince with onions/leeks (whichever's handier)
Add chopped carrots/peas/mushrooms/whatever's lying in veggie rack
I add a tin of chopped tomatoes(or you could use stock cube + water)
Bung in pyrex in oven (about 180) for about an hour
Top with mashed potato + under grill till golden brown on top (sometimes with cheese on top)

Hope that's the sort of thing you were after.
I make things up as I go along usually.

Go with whatever you want!

oh does the mince go in the oven then after the hour put potato on top? or potato before goes on before goes in oven

I usually bung meat/veggies in to cook first.
I add potato topping shortly before serving

Macdog · 08/11/2006 15:18

In fact, you could probably bung potato on top then put in oven.

That would save hassle

I warned you I make things up as I go along
