My son is 9 1/2 months old (my first) and I cannot get him to eat the 7 month jars. He chokes and is sick then gets upset and wont even try to eat any more. He has never been fussy and will eat anything as long as it is pureed. He has no teeth yet - dont know if this makes any difference? At the moment he eats half a 7 month jar mixed with 4 month jar once have mashed lumps with a fork! Tried finger food but not that interested yet. Any tips appreciated

Don't worry about it. Try making your own food and mashing that as thats better than jars all the time (although the jars can be VERY handy )

Relax! Don't force him, he'll eat lumps when he's ready.

Hi, my ds1 didn't eat lumpy food until he was 12mths. I used to liquidise the 7 month jars.
My health visitor was really not worried and just said "he won't be eating liquidised food when he is 16 will he?!!".
That was a great support to me and it proved to be true because now he can eat anything!
The best thing is not to get stressed about it because your son will pick up on that and that could prove to be difficult in the future.
