hi. My dad is 80 in a couple of weeks and i seem to be catering for about 20 and am out of practice entertaining. Have read with mirth ' buffets are chavvy' thread - i think i agree - but what to cook that caters for all from 2 - well 80! any party fail safes. He likes trad lancashire food, but i know if i go down that road he will only critisize that its not as good as his hot-pot or something!
Was thinking maybe big venison stew or similar..any comments? or recipes? or suppliers? thanks
