Ancient bacon - should we eat it?

Can't be bothered cooking anything real tonight so going to have pasta, jar of sauce, and bacon. Have found a packet of smoked bacon lurking in the freezer - it's two years old - will it be OK? I can smell it when it's defrosted -if it doesn't smell iffy it'll be OK won't it?

I wouldn't, I think something dodgy happens to it after a certain length of time, around 3 months i think

you could just do pasta with olive oil, garlic & chillis (dried) with lemon juice & lashings of parmesan (assuming you have some)
