cabbage...what can i make with it?

help please... am making chicken and mashed potato tonight and have half a large cabbage to use up. don't know what to make with it..any suggestions?

add it to the mash potato and if you can be bothered, fry it to make the edges crispy. delicious. and if you have any bacon handy add that to it too.

If savoy cabbage, shred finely and saute (prefereably with a bit of bacon, or some chestnuts). Or just steam for a few mins for a plain option.

If red cabbage - make braised red cabbage (see Delia recipe).

if you've got some bacon, fry that and then add shredded cabbage to it with a little bit of stock, and frozen peas if poss, and simmer for a bit

thanks sooo much.
i steamed the (savoy) cabbage, added it to the mashed potato and added some bacon which i had already cooked with the chicken and butter.
it was yummy. will do that again.
