How do YOU make corned beef hash

I have heard a few different ways of making this cheap and cheerfull dish and wondered how its made, feel free wise people to teach me how to make it. [smole]

how odd when I was a girl guide it was just plain corned beef mashed into mashed potato..my xmil, however used to then wrap it in pastry and bake..

The same way my mother does! Not like Delia! Boil chopped onion and potatoes until pots are soft and there's not too much liquid, add tin corned beef chopped up, bring to boil and then simmer for a couple of minutes. Serve with pickled beetroot or red cabbage! Sorry, don't do measurements.

Webcrone, thats how I thought you made it, but is delias way any good? I hate mustard though, so if it has a strong taste of mustard it wont do. Is delias way tasty?

I mash up a tin of corned beef with cooked potatoes, fried onions and brown sauce. Heaven on a plate.

i once saw a woman boil potatoes to death and then whip them then BOIL the corned beef and whip it inot the potatoes and then add salt by the handful and.......tomato kethup and whip until it looked like baby fdood. needless to say, I didn't stay for tea

No idea what Delia's version is like - I like it the way my mum makes it, though it's not something we eat often, except when the cupboard is bare, like today

ohh my fav i fry onions add cornflour,s&p, beef oxo and water stir until a nice thick onion gravy, then add boiled potatos and cubed corned beef mash altogether place in dishes grate cheese over add a slice of tomato to decorate then oven cook till brown. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!{grin}

It freezes well too,a ready meal to microwave another day.
