Tuna Steak

What's your reccomendations for cooking them?

Normally I grill them and have also marinaded then grill but want something different.

Was thinking of poaching them but not to sure

Can anyone help me sort tonights tea please??

we do a tuna teriyaki (the recipe for which DH got from a genuine TV chef and loves to tell the story of):

Rub tuna steaks with tiny bit of oil and sear in a red hot pan for a minute each side.
Take them out of the pan and put in some chopped ginger and garlic, a good slosh of dark soy sauce, the juice of a lime and some maple syrup (v important for smoky flavour).
Cook for a few secs till all thick and sticky.
Pour over tuna and let it soak in a bit.
Serve with couscous or something and lots of salad.

mmmm sounds nice i dont have maple though

and that one would be quick sealed in a hot pan right?

i have marinaded the tuna steaks in all the ingredients you have listed and will grill/dry fry them later

maple not essential - honey not a bad substitute
yes one minute each side in hot pan
