I may have just talked myself into having lunch at home this christmas.
Having a large family-in-law I havent had the pleasure before, now I can't decide whether to cheat and get nice pre-packed turkey roast or whole turkey? -There's only the 4 of us.

How many are you going to be cooking for.

If it only 4 then get a small turkey, the ones have been pre packed can be a lot more expensive.

I just do a normal roast sunday lunch but with turkey, i don't do starters and most years we don't do puddings as we just don't eat that much.

Just remember no to buy a huge turkey because it might be to dry when cooked also you don't want to be eating it for weeks after.

maybe get a turkey crown, we only really eat all the breast meat so its easier and cheaper to do a crown rather then a whole turkey, also it doesnt take quite so long to cook.

Don't forget you need enough for leftovers! Nothing better than a cold meat buffet on Boxing Day, turkey curry, turkey soup etc.

I think I prefer Boxing Day fare to Christmas Day fare lol
