lasagne

Have a recipe for lasagne which is basically using a very much tried and tested bolognese recipe - I have the pasta sheets ready but the bechamel sauce looks a bit time consuming.
Has anyone tried pouring a cheese sauce (packet mix) over the mixture as opposed to the bechamel and grated cheese?
Or any suggestions for a quick topping?

Cheers

Hi, both sainsbury's and waitrose do a four cheese sauce which I've used in the past and it was lovely. hth

I always do lasagne with cheese sauce (but roux-milk-cheese)

do packets thicken?

You could just crumble ricotta cheese over it instead.

I know its probably too late now, but imo, its really worth the extra 10 mins to make a bechamel/cheese sauce rather than using packet ones (I can't comment onthe fresh ones as I've never tried them). I seem to remember packet sauces tasting horribly of preservatives and chemicals
