Defrosted a chicken yesterday...

... intending to roast it for dinner this evening. I've forgotten to cook it Will it be Ok for tomorrow?

They say eat within 24 hrs I think, but I would prob smell it and see . Could you cook it today and store in fridge to have cold tomorrow or then be reheated? Do you know how close to date it was when frozen?
This is so the sort thing I would do lol.

It was pretty close to date. I'll just give it the sniff test tomorrow - DSs don't like cold chicken much!!

I'm usually of the "if it smells Ok..." school of thinking.
