how old are your kids?
Mine (2.8 and 1.1) love:
sweet potato with grated cheese and beans on top,
bolognaise sauce (loads of hidden grated carrot, courgette plus chopped up aubergine... ha ha) with spaghetti or any pasta,
pitta breads filled with anything - chopped up ham, grated cheese, scrambled egg, tuna mayonnaise etc.
roasted parsnips, carrots etc with humous as a dip
pre-cooked new potatoes cut into 4 (like wedges) and then dry fried with some ketchup "dip dip chips"

will def try fajitas now - not sure the 1 year old will quite manage them yet!

Tickle · 23/10/2006 08:37

most of the above, plus:

pizza - I lay out all the toppings and they ladle them on

sushi - could be influenced by their Japanese cousins, but v healthy

LadyTophamHatt · 23/10/2006 10:40

The pasta sauce Dior gave me the recipe for.

Always gets eaten and as I add some veg I feel very very cunning when they wolf it down

JunkInMyTrunk · 23/10/2006 10:42

yes homemade
I use spring onions and whatever fresh herbs I have, mix into mince and shape into balls.
Brown in frying pan and put into oven for about 20mins while I do spag and sauce.

ludaloo · 23/10/2006 10:44

ooh can I have the recepie please LTH? anyway to get veg in them would be good!

there are a few a one here, I've only used Diors though. I blend it all down so the kids don't know theres veg in it.
You can hide sooooooo many in it, it's FAB!!

LadyTophamHatt · 23/10/2006 18:35

here, even

ludaloo · 23/10/2006 18:42

Oh thank you LTH will give it a go

OP posts:
LadyTophamHatt · 23/10/2006 18:44

have you been lying in wait for me all day to ost that??

It really is lovely, I used cream cheese and normal grated cheddar now and IMO cheddar is nicer.

JoshandJamie · 23/10/2006 19:21

pasta with any sauce - I make hidden veg, cheese and broccoli, bolognaise, tomato and marscapone

roast chicken with roast parsnips and potatoes - and gravy, has to be gravy

cottage pie

stews (beef and veg mainly)

pies (chicken and mushroom mainly but also beef sometimes - I use ready made puff pastry and always keep some frozen in the freezer for emergencies)

chilli con carne (for us, not kids - they're a little too little for how spicy I make it)

Lemon chicken (chicken pieces with lemon, rosemary, garlic and honey cooked with potato wedges)

Chicken pieces cooked with cherry tomatoes, lots of fresh basil and some stuff i can't remember - Jamie Oliver recipe - divine

fish pie for the kids (i can't eat it as am allergic to fish hence lack of other fish ideas)

Butternut risotto

Soups - lots of different types - it's my surefire way of getting veg into the kids

Lasagne

Chicken pasta bake
