What to cook for poorly neighbour?

She has 2 young children & just out of hospital, still quite poorly so easy/quick to serve is essential & I've no idea what they eat (don't think they're veggie) . Cake & a casserole for that day or portions of fish/shepherds pie etc for the freezer? Any other ideas what to take? Going tomorrow morning but working all day today so needs to be doable in an evening.

Lovely idea.

How about a quiche and a cake?

Or some soup and a crumble?

Lasagne? Fish pie? Biscuits/cookies?

Good ideas thanks I think I'll go with fish pie, soup & some sort of cake or pudding.

Has she been sent home still too sick to care for her family? Might Social Services not need to be alerted if there are children?

Ok good point about fish will stick with lasagne and good point about SS but she's got a DH & I believe she's got carers coming daily plus amazing support in her friends & within our village.
