mine love thick homemade veggie soup with carrot stars floating in there. Serve with carrot sticks and toast fingers for dipping. Messy but mine love it.
Mini jacket pots (I do a batch together and freeze) - pot scooped out and mixed with a little grated carrot and cheese, maybe serve with beans?
Open toasted sarnies make a change - mine love melted cheese with tom eyes, nose and mouth face on top.
just chopping sarnies in diff shapes - sticks, pinwheels, triangles, rolls etc can jazz them up if they really like them and feel like a change!.
If they like cheese and apples, rather than a cheese stick, try mixing cheese chunks and apple chunks together with a little cooked pasta and mayo for a change?

Do sardines on toast count as meat?

Eggy bread is DS's all-time fave - on reading this I think I;ll make him it for tea.

  • whisk an egg
  • cut up bread into bite-size chunks
  • dip bread in egg
  • fry gently on both sides until egg is cooked through
  • for a sweet and incredibly delicious version, dip the bread in the egg then lightly into a plate of brown sugar mixed with cinnamon. (You only want a bit of sugar, too much and it goes too dark and sticky.)

Ds love his "cheesy pasta":

Pasta
Double cream
parmesan
frozen peas
ham

  • put about 80ml cream and 3tbsps of grated parmesan in a pan & cook til cooked
  • add peas and ham
  • add cooked pasta!

It's actualy really nice and ds asks for it all the time. hth

Mini pizzas

Cheese and crackers

Houmous and pitta bread, plus salady bits - tomatoes, cucumber, olives etc

Cheesy scrambled egg

I would suggest they eat whatever you're having. That's what ours have.
