Freezing pate

I was thinking that it would be nice to have mackerel pate for lunch during the week, OH doesn't eat fish so it would just be me eating it. Is it okay to make the pate and freeze in portions so that I can get a portion out in the morning and eat at lunch? Delia's website freezing bible says no to freezing mackerel pate with ricotta, but mine would be with creme fraiche, does that make a difference?

A pate made with smoked fish and crème fraiche will stay fresh in the fridge for three or four days. How much are you planning to make?

I would probably only make enough for about 4/5 days but I was looking to freeze it so that I could pick it out as and when I wanted it, rather than 4 lunchtimes in a row. Thanks for your response though!

Have frozen both smoked mackerel paté and smoked salmon paté without any problem.

Can't remember what the dairy bit was, could have been cottage/curd cheese or cream/crème fraiche or fromage frais.
