Ok, now I am V confused. I THOUGHT boy turning bright red about the temples and eye brows when he ate certain things might be a dairy issue ( fromage frais and yogurht and custard) so I laid off teh dairy, then he did it again on monday eating rather chilly mash spud and veg stock, So I had a re think and wondered if it was COLD stuff, the today hes done it eating warm mash spud with tomato... now I have no idea whats doing it. will try tomorrow with spud and breast milk and see what happens.
DS is 7m/o has been on solids about 5 weeks and wolfs down pretty much everything hes offered.
Anyone got an opinion on should I be worried, or what do i try next?

He's not having a poo is he? They often go red when they do that and some babies do one as soon as they eat

Oh, this brings back lovely memries....when ds1 was tiny I used to go out to cafes with friends/dh, and I always fed the baby before our food arrived....so we were always serenaded throughout our meal by the guttural grunts and "gnnnnnnnnn" noises coming from the high chair!

I'm laughing now!

ROFL. DD only 17 weeks but can serenade quite amazingly. v. embarressing in church!

It used to remind me of that scene in Alice in Wonderland (the Disney version) where the caterpillar suddenly goes a really bright livid red..... ds1 used to go purple and do this really low growl, often followed by a moan of ecstasy. People used to turn round and stare.

If only twere that simple... No realationship between going red and poohing that I can see. Poohing has a "busy" face all of its own.
They do chose the best moments don't they.
