Tonight I ate some puffball.

And it was rubbish.DH sauted it in butter with garlic & it tasted of nothing at all & had a cottonwoolly texture.DH said the texture reminded him of stale marshmallow.

Won't be trying that again.

I am amazed, when we had it recently it was deliscious. My sil fried it in butter, yum

Really Overrun?Perhaps mine was a bit on the elderly side or something then.It was bigger than my 3 year olds head & is now residing on the compost heap.

If I see a smaller one,I'll give it another try.
