i don't think i have a dish that would work on the hob and in the oven.
and i'm not that bothered about skin.

All I do is put 2oz of pudding rice in a pan with 1 pint of milk, sugar to taste, season with nutmeg or cinnamon, leave to cook gently on low heat on hob, stir periodically to blend in skin and it is usually ready after 1.5 hours.

A dish for the hob and the oven ?

Normally rice pudding goes into an oven dish cold ,it doesnt need the hob.

You can just do it in a saucepan on the hob like speedymama says but you need to watch it like a hawk or it will boil over and its quite likely to stick on the bottom too. It can be done but its a bit of a faff
