I've been given one of those supermarket selections of cheese, cheddar, brie, edam, some form of blue and st paulin.

Other than eat it with bread has anyone got some suggestions?

I think blue cheese is really good melted on top of baked potatoes (as long as you like blue cheese!). It's also v good mixed with boiled potatoes, fried celery and walnuts. Or on pasta - just anything bland really.

You can put pretty much any cheese in a quiche or flan although I don't know how edam behaves in those circumstances. I imagine it might go stringy.

You could do the 90s restuarant favourite of coating your brie in breadcrumbs and deepfrying, then serving with some sort of jammy/fruity sauce. Not sure it's worth the bother myself, but YMMV.

if you want to go down the healthy salad route any salad leaves, chunks or slivers of what ever cheese you fancy with slices of apple or pear, nuts, good dressing? Hot crispy bacon bits as well - yum!
