Canned tomato sauce

I want to make a recipe I found for veggie slow cooker chilli

It's an American recipe and it requires two cans of chopped tomatoes and two cans of tomato sauce

Does anybody know, is a can of tomato sauce like passata?

It does make enough to feed 8/10 though so I might need to fiddle with the amounts
