Can you freeze syllabub?

I have some double cream best before 5 Jan and am having a party on 10 Jan. If you make syllabub, then freeze it in a tub, can you defrost it - maybe re-whip it? - and put it in glasses?

thank you dear wise mumsnetters

Delia says no.

But you can freeze the double cream and use it later. Or you could make ice cream and freeze that.

But I thought you can't freeze cream unless it is whipped?
can you just throw the cream in the freezer?

I would whip it with a little sugar, and then freeze.

You partially whip the cream before freezing then when it's defrosted you finish whipping it.

Great, thanks everyone.
What I eventually decided to do was this

It's in the freezer now.
Thanks for your advice!
