We had a big ham over Christmas and I'm left with scraps of ham and a ham bone. What soup shall I make?

I regularly make a ham broth using celery, ham/chunky bacon, onion, carrot and canellini beans. Just before serving, add a good size bunch of flat leaf parsley, chopped. Very more-ish

I would love that Cogito but I think the kids would turn up their noses at it fussy blighters. Might have to make two different soups....

Ham and pea.

Sweat an onion and some garlic in oil for 10 mins or so.

Bung in 750ml of veg stock and half a bag of frozen peas. Boil for 5 mins.

Blitz until smooth.

Add ham and another quarter of a bag of peas.

Season.

It's delicious! I've made a vat for tomorrow.

Ham and lentil.

Ham, red lentils, onion, carrot, garlic. Use enough water to cover, boil until carrots are soft them blend. Yum.
