Slow cooker question re beef joint please

Hi,

I'm going to use my slow cooker to do a beef pot roast but I had to buy 2 joints as couldn't get one big enough. One is 1.2kg and other 950 kg and they both fit in the slow cooker but I wanted to check if anyone had done this and they both cooked ok. I was planning on searing and then cooking on low for about 6 hours with half a pint of stock. I know if I were roasting then they would cook quicker than one larger joint but hoping in the slow cooker they will ok. thanks.

How did your beef turn out?

It was divine My family raved about it, even my Dad who is a PITA very hard to please. Feeling all domestic godess like now after a successful new year's day dinner. I cooked it for about 6 hours on low, then wrapped in foil and left it for about 30 mins before carving. It was the most tender and tasty beef I've ever cooked. I mashed up the carrots and onion that was left in the pot with all the juice. I then strained this and added it to a pan with some gravy I'd made up. Served it with roasties and veg. Easiest dinner for 7 adults and 4 kids I've every done. I'm off to read through the slow cooker thread now for more meals for January.

Fabulous! I cooked a leg of lamb in mine yesterday then left it cool, skimmed the fat off the juices this morning and made up some gravy with the juices, sliced the lamb and added it to the gravy and warmed it through. It was delicious!

I also made fudge in it this afternoon!

Though I currently have an Italian pork and chorizo concoction in mine, and later on i'll be making a cake - but can't decide between choc fudge or carrot. Decisions decisions!

Gorgeous things I have cooked from slow cooked wonders page are pork stacks, rice pudding, pulled pork, gammon, mulled wine, 3 ingredient Christmas cake (although turned out more like Christmas pud!), the list is endless! Next thing to try is hassleback potatoes, they look divine
