Where is fresh sold? Would like to use some for making bread but have only been able to find dried.

Not sure in the uk, where I live we have the opposite - no dried...
The fresh yeast is kept in the fridges near cheese etc. might be worth trying a health food shop?
Hope you find some.

A proper bakers might sell you some of theirs?

If DH wants fresh he speaks to the bakery dept at work and gets some from them.

Most supermarkets that have an instore bakery sell it. I get mine from Sainsbury and it's about 50p for a big chunk. It only lasts for a day or two though so you have to get it right before you want to use it.

Morrisons sell it in the same area as butter, in little blocks, only 50p or so.

i get mine from the tesco bakery...mostly it is free, but they occasionally charge for it.

I love the smell and feel of it

I haven't seen it for years! I remember using it for my o level cookery in the dark ages though!
