Stepmum gave me a Slow Cooker as a Christmas gift- said I can cook 'anything' in it.

Can I??

Im after a good book that will lead me in the right Slow Cooker way- any recommendations?

Yep you can cook most things in it.
Start here at the slow cooker recipes on MN
Some recipes tell you to brown meat before adding but I don't bother any more.

Audrey Deane has written a good one, but try your local library - I used lots of slow cooker books from there when I first had mine.

Slow cooked wonders on fb is only really good if you want a laugh, or to make fudge!
I've got this book, which I love, never had a bad dish out of it!
The trick with slow cookers is to always put in half the amount of liquid you think you'll need!

This is my favourite. I have numerous books on slow cooking but this one is consistently good and has both unusual and weekday type meals, and, as I'm quite shallow I like that there's a picture of each recipe. - although as slow cooking can lead to brown mush I think that a photo of what it's supposed to look like is particularly relevant in this case.
